The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is one of the must do activities if you are visiting Seattle in the spring. This year the flowers bloomed early so when we arrived on April 9th there were fields in bloom as well as fields that had already been toped. It is always a delight to see acres and acres of tulips creating a carpet of vivid color that covers the earth and revels it contours.
After seeing a few tulips we headed to near by La Conner Washington to browse the shops a bit. Onur had never been to La Conner and Linda was looking for a particular shop that she gets a special soap at. The day turned out to be beautiful with lots of sun. After a little shopping and lunch we were lucky enough to catch the U. S. Bank No So Impromptu Tulip Parade which was put on in conjunction with the La Conner Kiwanis club. Most of the pictures below are of that parade.
