Hurricane Hill at Hurricane Ridge

I decided I wanted to try a little snow shoeing this winter and stumbled upon the City of Lynnwood's Parks and Recreation Department snow shoe trips. The trip I went on was to Hurricane Hill which is at Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic National Park. Thirteen people went on the trip, including our leader. Despite the small group it was extremely diverse, I believe this is an indication that snow shoeing has something to offer every person, regardless of skill level.

	Eventually we reached a point where the snow ended, but we didn't want to stop! So, off the snow shoes came and we hiked up a hill to enjoy spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains while taking a break and eating lunch.
