Engineering is not merely knowing and being knowledgeable, like a walking encyclopedia; engineering is not merely analysis; engineering is not merely the possession of the capacity to get elegant solutions to non-existent engineering problems; engineering is practicing the art of the organized forcing of technological change... Engineers operate at the interface between science and society... Dean Gordon Brown Send Me a QuoteHave a great quote? Send it to me. |
Khan and Tu Anh's WeddingThe eldest son of my dear friend Ha Nguyen was married this Saturday at St. Jude Parish in Redmond Washington. Khan's wedding was an amazing celebration of love, family, and friendship. Both Khan and Tu Anh looked remarkably relaxed on the alter and totally focused on the life long commitment they were making to each other. Surrounding Khan and Tu Anh were eight priests and a choir of what looked like about 40 friends, they sounded beautiful. Friends and family filled up the main section of the church. ![]() The boats almost look like toys to me. We've had a cool and wet spring here in Seattle this year. To be totally honest it is wearing on me. So, when the sun came out Sunday March 29th I was excited to spend a little time outside. A lazy drive down to Seattle's Golden Garden's seemed like a perfect way to spend the sunny Sunday afternoon. As expected there were lots of people enjoying the nice day at Golden Gardens. I found the colors to be striking, particularly after the gloomy weather we've had so I took a few pictures. As you can see the sun was nice, but, it wasn't very warm since people are wearing coats. I believe the temperature just brushed up to 50F. Spring Has SprungSunday, March 22, 2009
![]() Boy's with their toys. Spring has sprung in Northern Kentucky so my parents have been out working in their new yard. My dad sent me a few pictures this past week using his iPhone. The weather in these photos is quite appealing to me as spring is slow to come here in Seattle. Tim and Thuy Move Into Their New HouseSaturday, March 14, 2009
![]() The happy home owners! Could moving day be a fun day? Today was moving day for my Friends Tim and Thuy. While they spent weeks sorting and packing, all we had to do was help put the boxes in the truck and then unload the truck. It was fun being with old and new friends plus we worked up an appetite which made the pizza and beer taste that much better. Congratulations on your new home Tim and Thuy! Annie and Tony's WeddingToday two of my friends were married to each other, Annie and Tony. Annie is a music teach and Tony is in the Navy. They both love music and found some pretty creative ways to work music into the wedding reception. I was honored to be asked by Annie and Tony to be in their wedding choir. The entrance song for their Wedding mass was a modified version of Twila Paris' How Beautiful. Here are the words Annie and Tony used. How beautiful the hands that served How beautiful the feet that walked How beautiful |
